With a drive to continuously be at the forefront of technology and contribute to the achievements of the Paris Agreement and UN Sustainable Development Goals, ROC is not only working towards a carbon neutral operation but also taking a holistic approach by focusing on three areas to prioritize sustainability.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & GENDER EQUALITY

Youth job opportunity, volunteer programme and engagement of schools & sports club. 40% of ROC’s core staff are women.

ROC SWEDEN: TOWARDS A CARBON NEUTRAL EVENT

  • Include electric and hybrid competition cars;

  • 100% fossil-free biofuel to be used in non-electric competition cars;

  • Power to come from renewable and sustainable energy;

  • Accommodation for Participants, Staff, Teams and Guests within walking distance of venue at Pite Havsbad, which uses 95% sustainable power;

  • Use electric vehicles and machines for track build, airport transfers, etc.

  • Compensation for the remaining carbon emissions with gold standard credits locally.

ABOUT US

ROC Düsseldorf 2010_Action_Top Shot_Sé

ROC was the first major motor sports event to feature electric cars in 2010 with the Tesla® Roadster.

At more than 1000 horsepower (BHP), the new electric all-wheel-drive FC1-X produces 3G of acceleration and 0-100kph in less than 1.5 seconds.
