Amsterdam, The Netherlands (January 20, 2016) – TW Steel adds a new chapter to its rich motorsports heritage by teaming up with the Race Of Champions as the Official Timing Partner. To mark this occasion, the Dutch watch brand launches a Race Of Champions Special Edition based on its brand new Volante collection.
The Race Of Champions is an annual race event that brings the best drivers from various forms of motorsport – from Formula One to NASCAR – together for a weekend of competition. Some of the biggest motorsport names of all time will compete in identical cars to showcase their driving skills in front of huge crowds, and to be named Champion of Champions.
The 2017 Race Champions will for the first time be held in the United States on a specially constructed racecourse at Marlins Park on January 21-22, 2017. Some of this year’s participants include Formula 1 drivers Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa, Jenson Button and TW Steel brand ambassador, David Coulthard.
The two-piece Race Of Champions Special Edition range is based on TW Steel’s new Volante collection. This collection is designed for anyone with a passion for cars and racing. The Special Edition watches come in a 45mm three-hand model (TW965) and a 48mm chronograph version (TW966). Both designs have a genuine carbon dial, a black textile strap with orange stitching and feature the Race Of Champions logo on the case back.

The TW965 Race Of Champions Special Edition timepiece will retail for € 249 and $ 299 (US) and the TW966 Race Of Champions Special Edition timepiece will retail for € 349 and $ 449 (US).
