''Keep Up To Speed...''

Dear ROC Team,

"Keep Up to Speed" is back for a new edition!

We hope that you have been well since the balmy sunshine of Barbados! With the memory of Rum Punch hangovers almost as faded as our Bajan tans, it is time to turn our attention to ROC 2015!!!

ROC 2015 to be held in……… London Baby!!

As is always the case, ROC once again attracted significant interest from the World’s greatest venues from continents and countries spanning the globe, making the award of the host city more challenging than ever.

We are delighted to confirm: confidentially announce to you that ROC 2015 will be held in London at The Stadium at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on November 20th & 21st 2015.

More detail will follow including a press release later today in which it will formally be announced, however we wanted you all to hear the exciting news before we tell the rest of the world…

Latest news of the ROC Team…

Dominic Olliff is taking the summer off… Well, okay, he’s not actually. We wish him every success in his role as Twickenham Precinct Manager for the England 2015 Rugby World Cup. Dom will remain an integral part of the ROC team as our Operations Director.

In addition, we wish the very best of luck to Paul Valkovics who is out in Baku, leading a venue management team into the inaugural European Games. The opening ceremony is TODAY so I’m sure we’ll all be tuning in and wishing him every success. As with Dominic, Paul will continue to play a key role in the ROC 2015 planning and we’ll see him later in the year.

Attempting to fill the gap of these two monsters of ROC, is James Egan as our new Operations Manager. Some of you will know James from previous ROC events where he was a member of Liz’s hospitality team. James shares a similar background to Dom and Paul, working with them recently on the Olympics and Commonwealth Games – and with a major events background that dates back to 1999. We welcome James to the team and wish him every success in his role.

Finally, as is also becoming a ROC tradition it seems…. We welcome another ROC baby!!!

-      Congratulations to Vincent and Alison on the birth of their son Gabriel

That brings us to the end of this edition of Keep Up to Speed, but if you have any news or announcements that you want to share or have ideas for future editions, please let us know. Keep ROCing!

The Keep Up To Speed Team
