The Race of Champions pitches the best drivers in the world from circuit, endurance and rally/off-road racing to compete in a knockout tournament driving identical cars in one-to-one heats. The winner of the Super Final will be declared the 2007 « Champion of Champions ».
Eighteen stars from the worlds of Formula 1, Rally, NASCAR, Champ Car, Le Mans, Touring Cars, Dakar Rally-Raids, X-Games, etc
Drivers will be divided in 2 groups. The first with « racing drivers » and the 2nd with a mix of racing and offroad « rally drivers ». The two groups do not meet each other before the Super Final. Each heat is run over 2 full laps, which means 4 runs past the Start/Finish line.
2 direct elimination heats are battled out between « racing drivers » only. The 2 victorious drivers go through to the 1/4-Final.
In each group there will be four 1/4-Finals, each featuring 2 competitors. The 4 winners of each 1/4-Final will advance to the 1/2-Finals.
In each group there will be two 1/2-Finals, each featuring 2 competitors. The 2 winners will advance to the Final.
The winner of each group go through to the Super-Final.
The Winner of the Super Final will be determined from "best of 3 heats". The first to win 2 heats will be crowned the "The Champion of Champions".
